7 year old injured in Houston hit and run

At Bear Creek Baseball Park last night about 8:30 pm a SUV driver ran over a little girl who was on the way to the car with her mother last night, stopped got out checked on the child –then drove away.

The hit and run driver was driving was has been described as a silver vehicle either a Mitsubishi Montero or a Isuzu Trooper ran over the little girl, stopped got out and walked back to where the child was laying in the road. Then asked the mother if the girl was injured and walked back and got in her SUV and drove away.

Police are looking for a white, thin woman with a mole on her left cheek, driving a silver SUV.

Police were at the scene and had the scene roped off and were interviewing witnesses for hours last night.

Life flight landed the helicopter at the park just behind the baseball fields.

My heart goes out to the little girl and her family and I hope and pray for her recovery.

I was at the ballpark last night watching one of my sons play a game when the hit and run occurred. A very sick feeling swept over the parents at the ballpark when we learned what had happened.

I know well the helpless feeling of a parent when a child is injured.

If you have information about the hit and run, please contact the HPD Hit and Run department at 713 247-4065.
