According to police reports an SUV was attempting to lose the police and turned his head lights off to avoid detection. The driver crashed into a house in southwest Houston just off Highway 59.
Fortunately, the three occupants asleep in the house were not hurt. The driver of the SUV was taken to the hospital with what is reported as minor injuries.
I have previously written about the increased dangers of driving at night, and add to that no headlights and higher speed and the danger factor go up exponentially.
There are no reports on charges filed in the SUV accident at this time.
