A construction worker was killed and another man injured in a trench collapse in McKinney this week. The man has been identified as Jose Perez, of Dallas. The medical examiner has ruled the cause of death to be blunt force injury.
Mr. Perez, 21 was killed while working on a waste water pipeline project near U.S. Highway 380. OSHA has been investigating, however, spokesperson Elizabeth Todd has indicated that OSHA typically does not comment on open investigations. Davis Excavation it is reported employed Mr. Perez.
