The Gulf Freeway was the site of a fatality accident Monday morning. According to police, a pickup truck was involved in an accident at the Gulf Freeway near Eldorado Blvd. shortly after noon.
At least two vehicles were involved in the fatal accident and the driver of a pickup truck ended up in the median between the highway and the feeder road. The pickup truck driver died at the scene it has been reported.
At this time, not much is known about the details of the car accident which is currently still under investigation.
Another fatal accident report in Houston indicates two people were killed by a suspected suspected drunk driver when the suspect reportedly crashed into the back of another vehicle on Interstate 45.
It is unknown if the reports are from the same fatal auto accident.
Houston reportedly leads the nation is fatal drunk driver accidents a distinction which we would dearly like to avoid. The Harris County Sheriffs Office together with many other law enforcement agencies have banded together to crack down on drunk driving in Houston. The program started July 24, 2010.
