Fatal Houston Car Accident

Fatal Houston Car Accident

A passenger in a car died this morning in northeast Harris County. A two-car collision happened on FM 2100 not far from FM 1960 about 6:40 AM according to reports.

Harris County Sheriff’s office deputies were called to investigate the car accident and indicate that a 2002 Silver Pontiac was going south on FM 2100 and the driver of that car made a U-turn and was struck by a 2000 GMC Sierra going north.

A rear passenger in the Pontiac was killed and the driver of the Pontiac was taken to the hospital as was the front seat passenger. No information is available at this time on the extent of the survivors injuries.

With the recent medians installed along FM 1960 many motorists have taken to initiating U-turns to get to businesses off of FM 1960. I expect an increase in U-turn accidents as a result of the mediums and reduce choices for motorists traveling onĀ  1960. Those U-turn accidents will probably be offset by a reduction in accidents that occurred when multiple cars occupied the turn lanes prior to the installation of the medians.
