A La Marque man was the victim of a hit and run accident after his motorcycle was struck by a pickup truck and the driver of the truck fled it has been reported.
The motorcycle accident happened on FM 519 last week. According to police the motorcycle rider was struck from behind by a Ford pickup truck. The police found the pickup truck about three blocks from the accident scene and motorcycle was stuck underneath the pickup.
Police have arrested a 26-year-old man who has been charged with driving while intoxicated and also failure to stop and render aid.
The motorcycle rider was transported by ambulance to the hospital and reportedly suffered a broken leg and other injuries.
