Houston bus and rail train collide injuring 9

The driver of a Metro bus and 8 passengers were injured when the bus crashed into and derailed a light rail train in downtown Houston, according to a local news report.

Investigators said the bus was traveling westbound on St. Joseph Parkway when the driver ran a red light and collided with the train which was headed north on Main Street.

The injured bus driver and passengers were taken to local hospitals however their conditions are not known, officials said.

The train was equipped with a camera which likely recorded the crash. Officials say the video will be used to investigate the accident.
