Motorcycle accident injures Houston officer

A Houston police officer was injured in a motorcycle accident today on West Alabama street. The motorcycle hit the rear of a car and the cause of the motorcycle accident is under investigation according to authorities. It was raining at the time of the wreck.

I hope the officer’s injuries do not prove to be serious.

According to the Traffic Safety Center’s technical report, 3 out of 4 motorcycle accidents involve a collision with another vehicle, mainly cars.

1 out of 4 motorcycle accidents in the U.S. involve only the motorcycle striking some fixed object, or losing control on the roadway.
