Wrongful death lawsuit filed over plant explosion

An explosion at a chemical plant killed two Texas men this week and the first wrongful death case has already been filed.  The lawsuit indicates that a welding accident was the cause of the explosion and resulting fire according to reports.

While the investigation by OSHA, police and fire departments continues, the lawsuit is moving forward. Governmental findings about the cause of the fire routinely take from a few weeks to several months depending on the damage and access to the explosion area.

The plant where the explosion occurred refines oil into diesel, gasoline, jet fuel, and other products, including asphalt.
